Disadvantage of Procrastination

Well, it took almost 2 years but finally figured out what to say next. My friend, we'll call her T as she probably doesn't want to be published, suggested I continue with this and use it as an outlet to bitch. So I'm going to listen to her, this time anyway, and share another piece of my mind.

Needed to loose weight for a long long time now. My niece is getting married at the end of October. For over a year I was planning on starting a diet so I could loose enough weight to look someone decent in the photos. I finally got around to joining Jenny Craig in May. I've lost 40 lbs so far - yeah yeah, good for me - and dropped a couple of sizes. I can now shop at stores other than the fat only store available to me (Penningtons). Which is a good thing as there is a better selection, albeit a much smaller selection. And that's my problem with procrastination - the smaller selection. If I started the diet a year ago I'd have tons of wonderful dressy clothes to choose from. But I didn't. So now I have a small selection with only 1 or 2 dressy items that are crap. I'm meeting my niece for brunch tomorrow and will have to tell her I'll be showing up in my best PJs 'cause that's about all I've got.

I'll probably end up back at Penningtons and purchase something my grandmother would wear. Life is just soooo unfair to us fatties. With the number of fat people out there you'd think someone would design something half decent to wear.

Now, if I can only convince my niece to hold off for the wedding for a year I'll be alright. But somehow I don't think she's going to go along with me. Can't image why.....
